Gary Landry
Executive Director

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall management and coordination of the Federation office and staff. They are responsible for communication with foster parents, agency personnel, the Department of Community Services and other provincial, national and international groups in relation to foster care.

They work closely with, and are responsible to, the Federation's Board of Directors. As well as a member of the Joint Committee on Foster Care and serve on other committees as requested.

Jill Randall
Foster Allegation Support Worker

In this role, the Foster Allegation Support Worker acts as an advocate and support person to foster families who are facing allegations of abuse or neglect.  They also offer support to foster parents through the appeal process, if there is an appeal.

The Foster Allegation Support Worker also delivers information sessions to Agency/District office staff regarding the Protocol for investigating allegations of abuse or neglect in foster homes and how workers can assist foster parents in the safeguarding process. They present information regarding the importance of safeguarding during the Foster Family Orientation Program. The Foster Allegation Support Worker is responsible for maintaining current statistical data and preparing reports as required, including an Annual Report.

Sean Murphy
Comptroller

Sean is responsible for the financial management of the Federation's accounts, both operational and training. This postion also provides administrative and clerical support as required.

Carol Cole
Administrative Assistant, Operations

Carol is responsible for maintaining the foster parent database and sending materials to new foster parents. Carol sends referrals to the Regional Recruitment Workers and maintains the statistics for this service. She is responsible for the daily running of the office.

Debbie Thibault
Coordinator of Training

The Coordinator of Training is responsible for Federation's role in the administration of Introductory Level of Care Training Programs, as well as the ongoing evaluation and revision of training materials. They supervise the Federation training staff, as well as Federation trainers throughout the province. The Coordinator of Training recruits new trainers and supervises/supports existing trainers. They also serve as the Federation's representative with the Provincial P.R.I.D.E. Training Committee.

Rose Callaghan
Program Support/Registrar, Training

Rose assists in the organization of the Introductory Level of Care Training Programs. The responsibilities include: foster parent registration, training registration, registration for 1st Aid/CPR training, documentation regarding foster parent training records and maintains the statistics relating to training. Rose also maintains the training database. She is the editor of the Quarterly Newsletter for all foster parents across Nova Scotia, and is the Federation's representative on the Awareness and Recruitment Committee.
