Mission:

To make recommendations for the development and update of policies and procedures in relation to the Foster Care Program with joint input from Agencies/District Offices, the Federation, foster parents and the Department of Community Services, Family and Children's Services Division.
Members:
Membership consists of representatives from the Department of Community Services, Federation and Agency staff and Regional Foster Parents. Regional Foster Parent Representatives on this Committee are:

P.R.I.D.E. PROVINCIAL EDUCATION COMMITTEE
(Department of Community Services Committee)
Mission:
- to make recommendations for the development of procedures and standards for the delivery of Education Services for the Provincial Foster Care Services Program.
- this committee shall provide recommendations to the Department of Community Services for training and education services related to the Introductory Level of Care and P.R.I.D.E. Core In-Service.
- this committee shall commence duties for April 1, 2001 and will evolve with specific focus and definition as the foster care Program commences with the implementation of P.R.I.D.E. Core In-Service.
Members:
Membership consists of the Provincial Coordinator of Foster Care Services, the Federations's Coordinator of Training, Regional Foster Care Training Coordinators and Regional Foster Parent Representatives. The Foster Parent Representatives are:

PROVINCIAL AWARENESS AND RECRUITMENT COMMITTEE
(Department of Community Services Committee)
Mission:
- To make recommendations to the Provincial Foster Care Program for the development and implementation of recruitment strategies for the annual Provincial Foster Care Recruitment Plan.
- To make recommendations to the Provincial Foster Care Program for the development of recruitment materials and tools for provincial distribution that promote awareness of the Foster Care Program on the ongoing need for foster families.
- To develop recruitment materials and tools for provincial distribution that promote public awareness of the Foster Care Program.
- To make recommendations to the Provincial Foster Care Program and the Department of Community Services for provincial strategies to publically thank foster families during National/Provincial Foster Family Appreciation Week.
- To utilize provincial recruitment and awareness statistics to make recommendations for the development and subsequent evaluation of provincial recruitment plans.
